Greatly intrigued by the Sunset Strip and its history, Wells has become a familiar face on the Strip, recently creating a collection of art she calls Reflections of the Strip, reflecting back on some of the great musicians that have made it big starting on the Sunset Strip, also featuring new talented bands that are paving their way today, playing famous venues such at the Roxy, the Whiskey and the Viper Room. Wells’ hand painted Alice Cooper tribute, a 10 ft Gibson Guitar sculpture has been installed at the Andaz on Sunset Strip. Interview with Jimmy C

James Cochran, aka Jimmy C participated in the graffiti movement in Australia during the early 1990s, and after working on numerous mural commissions and community arts projects, went on to complete a Masters degree in Visual Arts at the University of South Australia with an interest in figurative oil painting. His two interests in graffiti and oil painting converged, leading to the development of Cochran's signature aerosol pointillist style; portraits or urban landscapes painted entirely from blobs of spray paint. This technique developed into what he called the 'drip paintings' and the 'scribble paintings', composed of layers of coloured drips or energetic lines to form vibrant and poetic cityscapes and portraits. Cochran now lives in London and his canvases and walls can be viewed in cities across the world.

Interview with Martin Whatson

Martin Whatson (b. 1984) is a Norwegian born and based stencil artist. While studying Art and Graphic design at Westerdals School of Communication, Oslo, he discovered stencils and the urban art scene. He had been interested in Graffiti for years, following the development within street art closely. In 2004 he started his own artistic production. His artistic expression started off more political, inspired by DOLK and Banksy, but has developed into a more subtle expression. His stencils are a mix of urban scenes with a poetic, hippyish make peace not war-message. He has a cheerful, very much recognizable and almost feminine touch; butterflies, doves and hearts in soft, nonetheless vibrant, colours. Still, his expression is very much masculine, filled with in your face-statements that represents a young and vigorous group of upcoming artists. Since his artistic debut in 2006, he has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally.
