Sappho of Lesbos

New Mural by Ricardo Van Zwol is inspired by Sappho of Lesbos, the famous poet who performed her poetry accompanied by music and dance.

The artwork shows two women in a graceful, almost dance-like movement, a visual echo of Sappho’s artistic expression.

This artwork is part of the quote route through the neighborhood. The quote used, “Someone, I tell you, will remember us in another time”, forms a poetic connection between past and present, inviting reflection on how art and love endure the passage of time.
