Dragon76 at Mizonokuchi Station

New mural by Dragon76 at Mizonokuchi Station, known as a sacred spot for breaking culture in Japan.

Mural Concept:

Hip-hop culture was born on the streets of New York, and when it crossed the ocean to Japan, it evolved in unique and powerful ways.
Breaking in particular fused with Japanese aesthetics and physicality, growing into a form that Japan can proudly share with the world.

This piece is rooted in deep respect for the origins of hip-hop in the U.S., while also blending traditional Japanese motifs with futuristic elements — symbolizing heritage, reinterpretation, and creation.

From the stillness and motion of samurai, to ukiyo-e-inspired composition and traditional color sensibilities — fused with the raw attitude of hip-hop and a cyberpunk vision of the future — this mural transcends time and culture to create something entirely new.

This project came to life thanks to the incredible dedication of katsu_one and the amazing people of Kawasaki & Mizonokuchi.
