Dance Series is a five-city mural project inspired by Georgian music and dance, unfolding across Tbilisi, Gori, Gurjaani, Kutaisi, and Lanchkhuti.
Georgian dance is built directly from music—its tempo, structure, and emotional intensity shape every movement. These murals translate that musical language into visual form, where rhythm becomes gesture, choreography becomes composition, and sound becomes image.
Rather than depicting specific dances, the works function as visual performances of Georgian music, capturing its contrasts: power and restraint, sharp precision and flowing continuity, tradition and living energy. The city walls become stages, and the streets become part of the rhythm.
The series was created by Tbilisi Mural Fest Studio (TMF Studio) as a collective, in collaboration with artists Irakli Kadeishvili, Afzan Pirzade, Salome Merabishvili, and Besik Maziashvili —mirroring the collective spirit of Georgian dance and polyphonic music.
Dance Series brings Georgian music out of the concert hall and into the street—where it continues to move, resonate, and evolve.
