Hi TaoSuz, today you selected for MoW 3 of your artworks inspired by music. Can you tell MoW why you chose those music artists ? What was the music behind the artworks ? What inspired you to create them ?

The choice of Tupac and Amy Winhouse is related to their inspired music and also to their tragic death. My two vintage photoautomat are dedicated to Tupac's fight against the mass medias and Amy Winehouse's fight against the mass medias. I used the Icon Marilyn Manson in another photomontage with the pope Bendict XVI. This association aim to make people questioning about worshiping and masters.

I'm affected by all kind of musics and music icons. The sincerity of the musician in his message is the most important for my inspiration.

Why is music important to you and your art?

Music is one of the best source of my inspiration and for my creativity. Lyrics, melodies, attitudes brings me an infinite connections. Good music is one way to free our soul and our mind from the matrix :)

If you had to choose between the artworks presented today, which of your artwork would be your favorite ? And why ?

In vintage photoaumat artwork serie. My favorite strip is the one with Marilyn Manson and The Pope Benedict XVI. This association makes me always questioning about the good and the evil and the sense of worshiping.

Can you tell MoW more about the techniques you used. How old is your technique? How did it start? How long does it take you to make an artwork ?

My technique is quit simple and complex at the same time. Simple in terms of the used softwares, most of time the software photoshop. Complex by the hours and hours spent on trying to work on the images to make the photos looks real.

Do you have plans on creating new artworks insipired by music ?

I'm working on new photoautmat strips with new musicians such as David Bowie or Freddy Mercury. The idea is to find the good contrasted association linked to the iconography that they represent.

Do you listen to music when you’re working ? If so, what kind of music ?

Yes. Most of time Classic music, Pink floyd and Metal music.
